tsunamis π
when i was a child, i learned physics in the bathtub. on July 3, 2000 a sea appeared in southern saskatchewan just as i was leaving the prairies for the coast.
in oaxaca, there is a boulder in a cathedral placed over the mouth of a cave by a giant. the valley was once a sea connected by the cave to the pacific. it is said the rock is a plug preventing the valley from flooding again. if it were to be removed, oaxaca would flood and disappear underwater. a tsunami of mythic proportion would reclaim the valley.
i have an irrational fear of tsunamis. i am prairie born and now live in the mountains. still, they scare the shit out of me.
The silent ocean suddenly a wall of destruction
Sleeping in the soft sand mass grave
1000 upon 1000's of souls brilliant flash of light spiraling in a world between worlds
Fragments of pain deep into the heart
Mounting numbers of lifelessness
Empty shells
Larger then life proportions
All I got to offer is hope in those darkest of times
All I got to offer is oceans of joy
as dawn breaks
